Last updated: August, 1 2024

Enrich Therapy Group, LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Enrich Therapy", "we", "us", or "our") recognizes the importance of social media in today's digital age. This Social Media Policy outlines how we use social media and how potential and current clients should engage with us on these platforms. By interacting with us on social media, you agree to comply with this policy.

This policy is designed to:

  • Protect client confidentiality and privacy.

  • Maintain professional boundaries between therapists and clients.

  • Ensure that our social media interactions comply with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

Social Media Platforms

Enrich Therapy may maintain profiles on various social media platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Facebook

  • Twitter

  • Instagram

  • LinkedIn

Client Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Confidentiality: For your privacy and confidentiality, we do not discuss or provide therapeutic advice via social media. Social media is not an appropriate platform for clinical discussions or sharing personal health information.

  • Interactions: We discourage clients from using social media to communicate directly with us about their therapy. If you need to reach us, please use the secure communication methods provided during your intake process (e.g., phone, email, client portal).

Following and Friending

  • Friend Requests: We do not accept friend or contact requests from current or former clients on personal social media accounts. This helps maintain professional boundaries and protect your confidentiality.

  • Following: You are welcome to follow our official social media profiles. However, following us or engaging with our content does not constitute a therapist-client relationship.

Comments and Messages

  • Public Comments: If you choose to comment on our posts or send us direct messages through social media, please be aware that these interactions are not private. We may not respond to comments or messages that contain personal health information or inquiries about therapy.

  • Moderation: We reserve the right to delete any comments or messages that are inappropriate, offensive, or violate our policies.

Content Sharing

  • Information Sharing: We use social media to share general information about mental health, wellness tips, and updates about our services. This content is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional therapy or medical advice.

  • Endorsements: Any sharing or liking of our content by clients does not imply endorsement or a therapeutic relationship.

Emergency and Crisis Situations

  • Emergency Contact: Social media is not an appropriate platform for emergency or crisis situations. If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, please contact emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room.

  • Crisis Resources: For non-urgent support, please contact us directly using the provided secure communication methods.

Professional Conduct

  • Therapist Conduct: Our therapists are bound by ethical guidelines that prohibit engaging in dual relationships or inappropriate interactions with clients on social media.

  • Client Conduct: We ask that clients respect our professional boundaries and refrain from seeking therapy or personal advice through social media platforms.

Discovering a Therapist’s Personal Social Media Page: We understand that in the age of social media, it is possible for clients to come across their therapist's personal social media profiles. If this occurs, we ask clients to adhere to the following guidelines:

Guidelines for Clients:

  1. Respect Privacy:

    • Please respect the privacy of your therapist by not engaging with their personal social media profiles.

    • Avoid sending friend requests, follow requests, or direct messages to your therapist's personal accounts.

  2. No Therapeutic Communication:

    • Personal social media pages are not an appropriate venue for therapeutic communication or advice.

    • Do not use personal social media channels to discuss therapy-related issues, share personal information, or seek professional guidance.

  3. Maintain Professional Boundaries:

    • Therapists and clients should maintain a clear boundary between professional and personal lives to ensure the integrity of the therapeutic relationship.

    • Refrain from commenting on or interacting with your therapist's personal social media posts.

In Case of Accidental Interaction: If accidental interaction occurs (e.g., liking a post or sending a request by mistake), we encourage clients to bring it up during their next session or through the appropriate communication channels provided by Enrich Therapy to clarify and address the situation

Changes to the Policy

Enrich Therapy reserves the right to modify this Social Media Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will be effective immediately upon posting.
