Meet Shantelle
Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Therapist
“To search for power within myself means I must be willing to move through being afraid to whatever lies beyond… Nothing I accept about myself can be used against me to diminish me. I am who I am”. In the words of the late Audre Lorde, willingness and acceptance are powerful tools that I believe we all possess. To my future clients, your story thus far doesn't define you. How you got started doesn't define you. The current chapter you're in doesn't even define you. You hold the pen and are the author of your future chapters, best chapters, and closing chapters. The most beautiful part of your story begins through your healing, and self work.
As you get to know me, you’ll learn I'm caring, empathetic, dedicated, and honest. So, in the spirit of being upfront, I’ll say therapy isn’t an easy process. There are certainly gains, highs, and lows. As we navigate our sessions and life - I challenge you to search within - to discover and embrace your strengths of willingness & acceptance. I’m a firm believer that “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”, and so where there’s a willingness to heal, there’s a way to shift toward growth.
I was born in the Southwestern region of Germany. After college I relocated from North Carolina, starting my Social Work graduate studies at Clark Atlanta University! For the past 11 years, I’ve been a dedicated Social Worker, my prior work includes Refugee resettlement, HIV/AIDS care, Psychiatric care, Child Protection, Non Profit, Advocacy, and Gov. Compliance. My range of experience has led me to Enrich Therapy, where I feel most purposeful. Providing therapy and connecting with individuals, is such a rewarding opportunity that I don’t take for granted!
